How pistons work
A piston is a block that extends an arm when it receives a signal, pushing the blocks in front of it. Wire it to a trigger, a pressure plate, a lever, a button, and you have motion. The current build includes the full piston set. Motion is what turns a static build into a contraption, and contraptions are the soul of voxel engineering in Lovely Craft.
Your first build: the hidden door
Place two pistons facing each other in a wall, wire both to a hidden pressure plate, and cover the wiring. Step on the plate and the wall opens; step off and it seals. It takes ten blocks and teaches every piston fundamental. The building tips guide has more starter projects.
Traps with manners
The package name says it: piston traps are this game's signature mischief. A floor that drops into a soft pit, a bridge that retracts behind guests, a treasure room that only opens for the right sequence. Keep traps friendly in shared worlds: pranks, not griefing. Grab the current build and start tinkering, or read the Lovely Craft APK homepage for the full feature list.
Wiring basics
Signals travel through wiring blocks placed in a line from the trigger to the piston. Keep runs short and visible while learning: buried wires are harder to debug when a contraption misfires. Test each piston on its own before linking several into one machine, and leave a one-block service gap behind your mechanisms so you can reach the wiring later.
